Role description
Fundraising Event Support volunteers help make sure our community fundraisers run smoothly. Fundraising events could be bake sales, movie nights and sausage sizzles.
Your tasks
- Set up and pack down equipment at fundraising events,
- Collecting donations in the community,
- Organising event supplies and materials.
Location
Our community fundraising team is based in Wellington, with events taking place in the Wellington region.
Volunteer requirements and training
- We need friendly, adaptable people who are enthusiastic and take initiative,
- Willing to learn, reliable and work independently,
- Able to travel to and from the event,
- Our team will provide the training you need to undertake your role.
Health, safety, and wellbeing
- Make sure your actions (or lack of actions) don’t harm your health, safety and wellbeing, or harm anyone else,
- Take part in a HSW induction, training, programmes and activities,
- Follow all instructions given to you about health, safety and wellbeing,
- Follow all NZRC HSW policies, standards and procedures about health, safety and wellbeing,
- Make sure you have the right training for any activities you are doing,
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) for any work activities that may need it to stay safe,
- If you spot a hazard, or you are involved in an incident or near miss, report this straight away.
